Dufferin-Caledon Cold & Flu Clinic Opens to the Public on Monday, November 2, 2020

ORANGEVILLE, ON – Oct. 29, 2020: As we head into influenza season, there will be a significant number of patients within our community who develop cold, flu, and potentially, COVID-19 symptoms who will need to be tested for COVID-19 and assessed by a physician.
To support the health and safety of the community, the Dufferin Area Family Health Team (DAFHT) is opening a COVID-19, Cold and Flu Clinic on Monday, November 2, 2020 to anyone in Dufferin-Caledon. This clinic will see people with cold, flu and COVID-19 symptoms in a safe environment and provide testing including COVID swabbing, assessment and care.
Since COVID-19, cold and flu symptoms are similar, testing is the best way to diagnose which of these illnesses a person may have.
A BOOKED APPOINTMENT IS REQUIRED. This can be done by calling 1-888-530-1319. Phones will be answered Monday to Thursday between 12 noon and 8:00 p.m. The clinic will be open from 4:00pm to 8:00 pm Monday to Thursday. There will be a limited number of same day appointments available. Some family doctors’ offices will also be able to book patients directly into this clinic.
The Dufferin-Caledon Cold and Flu Clinic is located at 1 Elizabeth Street on the lower level  in the Canadian Mental Health Association Office. This building is beside the Lord Dufferin Centre in Orangeville. People are asked to bring their Ontario Health Card if they have one.
People with confirmed appointments will be advised to call/text on arrival and await further instructions. Patients will not be charged for parking.
