Join us on Sunday, June 23 as we celebrate Caregivers in the Hills surpassing 200 members at our second in-person event, Caregivers in the Hills Appreciation Day! The event will take place at the beautiful Caledon East Community Complex, 6215 Old Church Road, Caledon East, L7C 1J7. (Special thanks to Katie Sawyers at Age-Friendly Caledon and the Town of Caledon for graciously providing this space.)
If you are an unpaid caregiver who provides mental, physical, or emotional support to a family member, friend, or neighbour residing in Dufferin County or Town of Caledon, come join our wonderful community.
More than 8.1 million Canadians over the age of 15 are unpaid caregivers, according to Statistics Canada. This is a figure that is only estimated to grow. Caregivers in the Hills, a program created by Hills of Headwaters Collaborative Ontario Health Team, will host unpaid caregivers in the community, providing much-needed recognition, respite and resources to those who dedicate themselves to the care of others.
The event will feature music, local resources, lunch and refreshments, speakers, and more.
