Hills of Headwaters Collaborative expands access to vaccinations at its COVID-19 response site in Caledon

No appointment is necessary

ORANGEVILLE, ON – Hills of Headwaters Collaborative (HOHC) Ontario Health Team (OHT), along with other OHTs in Ontario, has been asked to respond to the critical and urgent measures needed to blunt the impact of the spread of COVID-19 in the face of the highly contagious Omicron variant.

As of Monday, December 20, the province announced that all Ontarians 18+ years of age are eligible for COVID-19 Dose 3 vaccine at the three-month (84 days) interval.

“We urge everyone who is eligible to get vaccinated immediately,” says Dr. Amy Catania, Chief of Family Practice at Headwaters Health Care Centre and co-chair of the Dufferin Caledon Physician Association. “This is one of the most important things a person can do to make a difference to stop the spread of Omicron and prevent it from overwhelming our hospitals. As an individual, you can be proactive to protect yourself, your loved ones and the community.”

“Our HOHC partners have quickly mobilized to immediately increase access to first, second and third dose as well as children’s vaccinations for eligible populations,” says Alexander Lim, Transformation Lead, HOHC. “We cannot overstate the urgency for providing yourself and your loved ones with the best possible protection by getting vaccinated and continuing to be vigilant by avoiding large gatherings, practicing physical distancing, staying outdoors or in well-ventilated spaces, and wearing a mask indoors.”
“I want to thank all those who have dropped their holiday plans and revised their schedules to mount this extraordinary defense against the spread of Omicron,” says Alexander Lim. “We know these necessary and extraordinary responses impact each of you as well as your family members. Thank you for all you have done and continue to do.”

The list below is being continually updated to expand access to COVID-19 vaccines and tests. Please visit the websites for the most current information.
